Hope for Homeless Families
Brevard County, FL
It started with people who thought homeless families with children needed help
Community of Hope is dependent on all of our partners, both corporate and nonprofit, volunteers, and the generosity of our community. You are what makes this program successful.
We are supported by church sponsors, grants, individual donations and corporate giving.
Community of Hope was incorporated as Florida non-profit (501c3) charitable organization to provide transitional housing for homeless families in Brevard County, Florida. We have expanded our mission and also provide low rent permanent housing for families with children. The concept grew out of the faith based ecumenical concern for Brevard County’s growing number of homeless families, especially families with young children. Families are placed into one of our programs based on their needs. Volunteers and staff help the families to work to improve their skills to a level that will enable them to obtain self-sufficiency and free themselves from homelessness. Families are taught life skills such as money management, nutrition, health and safety, parenting, etc. Families in transitional housing units are required to also complete volunteer hours.
